When it comes to trendspotting and creative reuse, It’s no surprise that the stylish peeps over at Martha Stewart Living are miles ahead of average consumers like me. Yet I will confess to expelling a chagrined and whiny “noooooo!” when I flipped to page 28 of this month’s magazine. I slapped my forehead and gave myself a stern lecture for not posting pictures of the colorful giant rubber bands I fell in love with and decided to use in place of ribbon on recent birthday gifts. Not that it really matters,magazine editorial deadlines mean that the September Home Issue was put to bed long before I spotted and snagged these rubber bands at my local Target, but at least posting about them earlier might have allowed me a few poseur moments of creative victory. Oh well, back to lab again.
